After completing his studies in piano and composition at the Conservatory "Donizetti," he studied with Aldo Ciccolini and dedicated himself to concert activity, debuting as a soloist with the I Pomeriggi Musicali orchestra and expanding his chamber repertoire with members of the Berliner Philharmoniker.

 

His interest in early instruments led him to specialize in Fortepiano at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where he obtained a Master of Arts in Historical Performance Practice under the guidance of Edoardo Torbianelli. This was followed by numerous concerts in France (Fondation Royaumont) and at the Tagliavini Collection in Bologna. His study of historical sources sparked a passion for opera, encouraging him to work increasingly with singers.

 

From 2011 to 2015, his experience as a coach/repetiteur and assistant for the Donizetti Festival and Teatro di Como As.Li.Co allowed him to build a vast bel canto repertoire, collaborating with internationally renowned singers and assisting numerous conductors, including Corrado Rovaris, Sebastiano Rolli, and Christopher Franklin. At the same time, he pursued conducting studies at the Verdi Conservatory in Milan with M° Parisi, later specializing with M° Gelmetti at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.

 

After making his operatic debut in 2014 with “L'Elisir d'amore” at the Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto, he conducted “Betly” at the Teatro Donizetti and “L'Elisir d'amore” at the Teatro Sociale in Bergamo. At the Rubini Foundation, he conducted “La Traviata” with the winners of the international singing competition. He has also collaborated on symphonic concerts with I Musici di Parma and I Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan (MiTo Festival).

 

In September 2016, he became conductor and coach at the Theater Heidelberg in Germany, where he conducted performances of “Hänsel und Gretel,” “Die Zauberflöte,” “Der Freischütz,” “Anatevka,” and “Don Pasquale.”

 

A member of the Forum Dirigieren since 2017, he has conducted the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra in Estonia as well as the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz in Germany.

 

In 2018, he was invited by the Daegu Opera House in Korea as musical director from the harpsichord for “Le nozze di Figaro.”

 

For the Baroque Festival Winter in Schwetzingen, he served as musical assistant and conductor from the harpsichord in Zingarelli’s “Giulietta e Romeo” (2016), from the fortepiano in Porpora’s “Mitridate” (2017), and in November 2018, he was the musical director from the harpsichord for “La Verità in Cimento” by Vivaldi.

 

In 2019, he conducted “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at the Theater Kiel and Kálmán's operetta “Die Herzogin von Chicago” in Bremerhaven. As 1. Kapellmeister at the Stadttheater Bremerhaven, he conducted “La Cenerentola,” “Cavalleria rusticana/Pagliacci,” as well as the musicals “Der Graf von Montechristo” and “Chicago.”

 

Engagements in the season 21/22 included „Les Contes d´Hoffmann“, „Die Entführung aus dem Serail“ musical “Chess” and „Der Kaiser von Atlantis“, as well as a Symphonic concert and an Operettengala. In 22/23 he conducted “Macbeth”, “Der Freischütz”, “Breaking the waves”, a Symphony concert and the Ballet “Sleeping Beauty”, in 23/24 “Hänsel und Gretel”, “Rusalka”, “Die lustige Witwe” and “Tosca”.

For the 2024/25 season, he will conduct “Turandot”, “Hänsel und Gretel”, “Catch me if you can”, “Le nozze di Figaro”.

 

Since 2019, he has been regularly invited to conduct symphonic concerts with the Baden-Baden Philharmonie.

 

He served as assistant conductor for “Nabucco” and “Carmen” at the Summer Festival “Oper im Steinbruch” in Vienna in 2022 and 2023.

 

As an assistant to Paolo Carignani, he worked on and prepared the following productions: “Cavalleria/Pagliacci” at the Opernhaus Zürich, “Nabucco” at the Greek National Opera in Athens, “Aida” at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, and “La forza del destino” at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
